With the introduction of the Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020, as of 1st July 2020. landlords of single-let and HMOs in England are legally obligated to have their rental property inspected and tested by a qualified and competent person at least every 5 years. This can be done by a Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR).

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
Landlords are legally obligated to ensure all appliances provided with the rental property are in safe working order, and the best way to ensure that is by getting a PAT by a qualified electrical engineer.
You can book a Portable Appliance Test (PAT test) carried out by a nationwide electrical engineer to ensure that your electrical appliances are safe to use.
