Newsletter FAQ
QHow do I stop receiving / unsubscribe from the newsletter?
Every newsletter will contain an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email, just like this:
If you click the link, you will be taken to a page that will give you the option to unsubscribe, which means you will stop receiving emails. Shortly afterwards, your email address will be completely deleted from our system. You can always subscribe again if you have a change of heart (which you should).
QDo I have to pay?
Hell naaaah. It’s completely free, and always will be.
QWill my email address be shared with anyone else?
Nope, absolutely not.
QHow do I know if I’ve successfully joined the newsletter?
You will be sent a confirmation email congratulating you for being awesome, and welcoming you to the Landlord Newsletter club.
QI’m not receiving any emails, what should I do?
Oh dear!
First and foremost, make sure you check your junk/spam folder (and “Promotions” or “Social” tab if you use Gmail) – emails often mistakenly end up in those pesky boxes! Sadly, genuine messages often get mistaken for spam these days. If that is the case, please whitelist the email so it doesn’t happen again. You may need to whitelist the emails a few times before your spam filter learns how to behave.
No luck?
Okay, then, you should check to see if you are actually subscribed to my mailing list by entering your email address into this subscription box. If you are subscribed, you will be notified on screen, if you’re not, it will take you through the subscription process.
QWhat if I change my email address?
If you have subscribed to my mailing list and want to update your email address, you can do so by clicking on the “Change Subscriber Options” link at the bottom of all my emails:
When the link is clicked, you will be taken to a page that shows your subscription information, and allows you to change your email address by clicking on the “edit contact information” link.
QI’m receiving your emails even though I never subscribed to your newsletter
Are you sure you didn’t? Like, REALLY SURE?
The only way to join my newsletter/mailing list is by a double opt-in process, which means subscribers’ must click an opt-in verification link that is emailed to them. Basically, someone must have accessed your email address at one point to approve your subscription and start receiving emails.
If you are confident that you didn’t double opt-in and are still receiving emails, then I recommend changing the password to your email account immediately.
You can also follow the instructions on how to unsubscribe if you wish to.
